A Return with Clarity: Tara Lett Releases “Spill The Tea”

Canadian pop songwriter Tara Lett releases her new single, “Spill The Tea,” on March 13, 2026, available on all major streaming platforms.

Following earlier Canadian radio airplay and national television placements on Degrassi: The Next Generation and Beauty & the Beast (The CW), Tara stepped away from the industry to focus on family life. Now 41, and navigating motherhood alongside health challenges within her family, she returns with renewed clarity — bringing perspective, restraint, and emotional precision into her songwriting.

“Spill The Tea” explores the complexity of friendship — the desire for vulnerability, the imbalance when honesty flows in one direction, and the courage it takes to ask for reciprocity. Its breezy, tropical-leaning production carries quiet tension, allowing the lyric to remain steady and direct.

The chorus distills that tension into a simple invitation:

You can be real with me.

Rather than chasing trends, Tara’s work centers on craft — strong melodic structure, intentional hooks, and production that leaves space for the vocal.

Originally from Vancouver, Tara now splits her time between Kauaʻi and Whistler, BC. She has completed a 10-song project and is releasing new music in a waterfall rollout throughout 2026.
